Digger and operator

Digger and operator hire starts at £300 a day.

This is for a 1.9 ton digger (980mm wide) and experienced operator. This includes fuel and delivery. We have also got a concrete breaker attachment to hire at £30 a day.

If you require a 1 ton dumper this starts out at £80 for the first day. Longer hire duration gets a better rate.

We have a 4 hour minimum hire which is £300. This machine turns rough clumpy ground into a fine seed bed, perfect for creating new lawn areas etc. It will deal with anything under half a brick size, but ideally things this size want to be picked out if visible. Some sites will require more than one pass to create the optimal finish.

Patio install

(excavate and lay with materials)

To dig out and lay a basic 10m2 patio with a 150mm sub base geotextile membrane, slabs laid on a full bed of concrete with basic coloured concrete slabs and a skip will start at £230 per m2.

Drainage Run

To install a drainage run 12m long, hand dug, up to half a meter deep, through grass connecting onto an existing plastic drainage run; prices start out at £66 per meter, including materials.

Installing all important services that bring in power, water, gas and internet into your home varies from service to service as they each require a different install depth.

Water is dug and back filled at 750mm cover with warning tape and minimum charge would be for 12m at £25 a meter in soft un made ground (lower costs for longer runs).

LV Electric is installed at 450mm cover with warning tape and we charge £18 per meter minimum charge of 17 meters.

Foundations

Foundation costs can vary a lot, clay soils cost more to dispose of than sandy soils also dig depths in clay soil is 1m minimum if there aren't any trees around and sandy soil is 750mm dig depth.

Also ground conditions vary from site to site and things may be there that you can't see like old wells and made up ground.

Also there are many different types of foundations from piled to raft to strip and trench fill.

A standard trench fill foundation will start from £150 per meter that's dug, concreted and soils disposed of with ground protection for muck away area.
